Danielle and Nathan are literally some of my favorite people. Partially because they're just awesome, but also because I can message them at 8 pm and be like Session tomorrow? and they're always like Um, yes.
I never have sessions scheduled when it snows. That would be amazing if a session just so happened to line up with a big snow storm, but it never does. So, when it started snowing I knew I had to get someone out in the snow. My first choice is always a sweet couple. And I knew that Danielle's red hair would be AMAZING with a snowy evergreen background.
So we threw some snow around and froze our butts off, but it was obviously worth it.

This dress though. It's obviously a really popular dress for the last year or two, as almost every boutique sells it now. And for good reason - It's gorgeous! This burgundy color is probably one of my favorite versions of this dress. And Shania looks absolutely perfect! I loved getting to spend the afternoon photographing her and Lane. Fun fact - I've known Lane since we were babies because his older brother and I were in daycare and grade school together! Such a small world. Now he's getting married and they've got a cute little son. Doesn't make me feel old at all. (Ha ha.)
I can't wait to photograph these cuties on their wedding day!
When Mikayla showed up in this gorgeous outfit my heart jumped for joy! I knew that her skirt would look amazing on such a windy day. We took our session to the WW1 Museum. Obviously it's a popular spot for both tourist and photographer, but you just can't beat that view. It was such a cold fall day with the crazy wind, but we made it through with lots of hugs and snuggles.
Kate + Ryan // engaged // snuggle session // pillow fight // west bottoms kcmo // missouri engagement photographer
I got a new studio!! That's right! A few other photographers and I started renting this space in West Bottoms KC, and I'm so excited about this new chapter for my business. During these cold months I knew I wanted to snatch up a couple for some snuggle photos in the new space. Kate reached out to me for a snuggle engagement session, and I told her about my pillow fight inspiration. She was looking for a background with white washed brick walls. So we decided it was fate. We had so much fun jumping on the bed and dancing around the room. And the flying feathers everywhere was well worth the clean up. I took way too many photos, but I couldn't love them more. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites!
